RACIN FOR THE KINGDOM
t
Prison
Ministry
Michael Nease, an inmate in a Georgia Department of Corrections facility, a cancer survivor, bible study leader, soon to be once again a productive member of society, and most importantly a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, began "Racin For The Kingdom" prison ministry as a way to reach lost inmates at the corrections facility in which he himself is serving time in. Michael has an awesome story of how the Lord, through an inmate on death row, came into his life and gave him the greatest gift of all, Salvation! Michael accepts the fact that he is the one who caused the troubles in his life that landed him in prison. He blams no one else for his situation and has come to realize the events in his life were leading him to the place where he is right now, where he can be of the most use for our Lord and Savior by reaching out to those who are in desperate need of God's love and forgivness.
Michael uses racing photos, mostly NASCAR (Nascar is very popular among inmates), as an incentive to get inmates to attend Bible Study at the prison. Once attending Michael shares with them that the Lord loves them, so much so that he sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for them (just like He did for us) and they can recieve eternal Salvation by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. He emphasizes to the inmates and gaurds as well what living for the Lord is really about and how they can turn there lives around and become children of God and productive members of society. Micheal, like Paul, truly has a heart for God and truly is a changed man. He is a man of God boldly sharing the Gospel in a place where he is daily harrassed and persecuted for his faith, by prisoners and some correctional officers as well. Like Paul, when he was in prison, Michael doesn't let that stop him from doing what the Lord has commanded us to do. It plainly tells in the Bible that as we go about our lives to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ with us sharing it with ALL people and who more than those that are lost and in prison need to hear the Word. Michael's plan is to continue "Racin For The Kingdom" ministries after his release from the prison system by being one of the "outside" sources of materials for the ministry.
Of course with Michael being incarserated at this time he has no way to earn the money it takes to purchase racing photos and Christian material needed to continue his good work. He relys soley on outside sources for all the material he uses. That is why he has contacted Christian based organizations, like Motor Racing Outreach, and Christian racers, like Tim Totherow and t39racer.com to help with obtaining NASCAR photos, Christian material, and monetary support to purchase and mail said items.

May 16 2011. update
It is with great pleasure that T39racer announces a wonderful event in the life of our dear friend Michael Nease. As of today Michael has been released on parole to the Otis Nixon On-Track Center where he will transition back into a productive member of society and will continue the Racin For The Kingdom Prison Ministry through inmates trained by Michael. Not only will that phase of the ministry continue but Michael has shared that the Lord has laid on his heart to start another Bible study/support group for recently paroled inmates, such as himself. Tim and the entire T39 racing team will continue to support the minitry and encourage Michael with this new and exciting phase of his life. Michael we love you and God Bless.
